1.Personal and Financial Security

When determining your password, don't use your personal information that can be easily guessed. Increase the security level of your passwords. Keep your personal information confidential. Your personal information on your identity documents; you should be extremely  cautious and skeptical if requested over the phone or via e-mail.

Don't keep your customer number and password in the same place. Don't make notes in easily accessible places. Don't respect people who call you by phone and ask you to read and key in your card information and all kinds of passwords.

Turn off banking transactions that you don't use for Internet Banking. Your card information, customer number, Internet Banking password and one-time transaction confirmation password sent to your mobile phone are only for you. Don't share this information with anyone, including our Bank's personnel.


2.E-mail Security

Our bank does not make any password renewal/ change process via e-mail and does not ask for your personal information. Don't respond to some kind of e-mails. Don't open e-mails or accept files from people you don't know.

Don't enter your security information by clicking on the links received by e-mail. Never send your password via e-mail.

Don't try to Access Internet Banking, even from people you know, by clicking on any link sent via e-mail or chat and messaging programs, or by clicking any link other than the addresses mentioned above.


3.Internet Security

Access the address bar of your browser by typing ''http://www.ziraatbank.com.tr ''. Make sure that the Internet Branch address starts with ''https://bireysel.ziraatbank.com.tr'' or ''https://kurumsal.ziraatbank.com.tr ''. Pages that open should have a lock sign in the lower or upper right corner of your browser. Ziraat Internet Branch SSL Security  Certificate is a security protocol developed by Netscape to ensure security and privacy during information transfer over the network. SSL ensures that the information sent can be decryted absolutely and only at the correct address. The information is automatically encrypted before it is sent and only be decryted by the right recipient. The confidentiality and integrity of the transaction and information is protected by verification on both sides. You can use an up-to- date browser such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera; If you are not using it,update your browsers free of charge from the official websites of the software company.


4. Social Media Safety

If you follow Ziraat Bank's official social media accounts, make sure that the accounts that have information signs showing that they are officially owned by Ziraat Bank.

Don't click on the links sent using the name of Ziraat Bank through social media applications, through fake accounts.


5.Wireless Network Security

Don't use unsecured wireless networks. Don't perform banking transactions over networks belonging to public places such as internet cafes, airports, hotels, dormitories.


6.Smartphone Security

Update your mobile phone's operating system regularly and protect it with anti-virus software. Download Ziraat Bank's mobile banking application only from Apple Store, Google Play Store and Huawei App Gallery.

Don't install any software from unknown sources on your smartphone, personal computer or tabler; Don't open links sent via SMS whose source you're not sure.
If the device you are using is detected to have malware, your access to the internet and mobile banking may be limited for your security. Malware on the device can be removed by formatting the device. Once the necessary precautions are taken on the device, your internet banking access will be automatically activated.


7.Computer Security

It is very important that you use an antivirus program, a spyware scanner and a firewall in order to detect and eliminate possible security vulnerabilities and be protected against possible atttacts while using the Internet. While spyware programs protect your computer against spyware trying to collect your internet usage information, firewall software prevents programs on your computer from connecting to the internet without your knowledge. Use only licensed operating systems and keep your web browser up to date. Use anti-virus software on your computer and keep your virus database up to date. You should periodically scan for viruses.
