Taking a major step toward Türkiye's 2053 Net Zero Emission target, Ziraat Bank has built a
Climate Transition Roadmap which outlines tangible emission intensity reduction targets to be achieved by 2030 across four critical sectors that account for a significant portion of Türkiye's greenhouse gas emissions.
The aforementioned targets have been determined based on the IEA 2050 Net Zero scenarios for the electricity, iron-steel, and cement sectors, and the SBTi FLAG 1.5°C aligned pathways for the agricultural sector. The process is also supported by key global reporting frameworks such as IFRS, ITPN, and PCAF.
