Material Topics and Materiality Matrix
Ziraat Bank conducted a materiality analysis in accordance with the double materiality framework for the preparation of the 2024 Integrated Annual Report.
In line with the benchmark analysis conducted prior to the materiality study, the Bank identified its potential material issues using methodologies such as strategic priorities, stakeholder expectations, Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI), UNEP FI Principles for Responsible Banking, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) Sustainable Banking Strategy Document, Bank Association of Türkiye (BAT) Sustainability Guidelines for the Banking Sector, and SASB Standards.
Having identified 15 material topics for the materiality study, Ziraat Bank reached out to its stakeholders through surveys and collected their responses. Based on the analysis of responses, the Bank categorized its material issues as “Very High Priority,” “High Priority,” and “Priority.”
