Ziraat Bank aims to continuously improve its energy performance to contribute to a sustainable future. To this end, energy-efficient technologies are used in IFC Ziraat Towers, and systems such as lighting automation, building automation, inverter technologies, water-saving aerators, etc., are employed. Aiming to continuously improve its energy performance, the Bank prefers products and services with high energy efficiency in its procurement processes.
Adopting an eco-friendly energy management approach, Ziraat Bank continues to install three Solar Power Plants (SPPs) in Kayseri to meet the electrical energy requirements of its service units across the country from green energy. Planned to be fully operational in 2025, the plants have a total installed capacity of 53 MWe/ 64 MWp and are expected to generate a total of 126,000,000 kWh of electricity annually. It is planned to ensure uninterrupted electricity generation by instant monitoring with the SCADA system following the commissioning of the power plants.
Furthermore, Ziraat Bank achieved net-zero Scope 2 emissions for 2024 by purchasing a Renewable Energy Resources Support Mechanism (RES-G) certificate.
